Meet the Chef
Julie Olsen-Smith always had a zest for cooking and baking. At age twelve she would sell cakes to all of her neighbors for special occasions and by 16 she had her first bakery job in a high end grocery store in Central New York as a cake decorator. Always interested in Health and running, Julie switched her focus of just baking and pursued her passion for nutrition. After completing a Dietetics degree from Florida State University in 2004, she decided to become a Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher shortly after. For the past 15 years Julie has taught Culinary Arts and Nutrition to students of all ages. She also has spent most of her summers and holidays teaching cooking camps and classes. Julie recently moved to Boerne, Texas with her Husband Jeff, and her two daughters Grace (8) and Ruby (4).
